Art Nouveau & Tango
After the successes of, among others in the USA, Argentina, Paraguay, Korea and Germany, the duo performs in Poland invariably delighting with their musicality, technical perfection, and inexhaustible energy. The program of the event belonging to the concert of the first Polish tour will include works by Pärt, Szostakowicz, Stravinsky, Kolodub, Gershwin, Meyer, and Piazzolla.
Illia Bondarenko is an eighteen-year-old violin virtuoso and composer. A student of the National Academy of Music. P. Tchaikovsky in Kiev. He is a versatile musician of the young generation, professionally, passionately and at the highest level, presenting not only classical music but also jazz, tango, early music on a baroque violin or contemporary and experimental music on an electric violin.
As a soloist, he has already performed in the most famous concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall (New York), Akasaka Hall (Tokyo), Musikverein (Vienna), at the North Korean Olympics (PyeongChang / Seoul 2018). He has participated in festivals in Argentina, Paraguay, Germany, and Austria. Illia Bondarenko also takes part in international projects, Bach in Jazz and Jazz de UA. He often performs as part of charity events. He is called „the youngest representative of Ukraine’s cultural diplomacy abroad”. In 2016, he was the first Ukrainian musician and the first non-American to perform at Christmas concerts at the White House in Washington at the invitation of First Lady Michelle Obama.
A pianist and harpsichordist. She studied at the National Academy of Music of Ukraine named after P. Czajkowski in Kyiv with prof. Svitlana Shabaltina (harpsichord) and Valeriya Kozlova (piano). She participated in piano and harpsichord courses with such masters as Frederic Aguessy, Mikhail Arkadiev, Philippe Bianconi, Berngard Billiter, Teresa Dusso, Philippe Entremont, Alexis Galperin, Martin Gester, Bernd Goetzke, Ketil Haugsand, Władysław Kłosiewicz, among others.
She is a laureate of many awards, incl. The First Prize of the International competition of young performers ХХІ-Century Art (Ukraine, Kyiv, Vorzel, 2003), The First Prize and Audience Prize of International competition Three centuries of classical romance (Saint-Petersburg, Russia, 2008), The First Prize in Section Solo, The Absolute First Prize in Section Bach Concerto for Harpsichord with an Orchestra of Wanda Landowska Harpsichord Competition (Bari, Italy, 2014), Absolute winner in the International Piano Competition (Serbia, 2016), 1st Prize in the International Tadini Competition (Lovere, 2016).
As an outstanding pianist, she performs solo and chamber repertoire and in symphonic concerts in the most famous concert halls in Ukraine and abroad, incl. in Argentina, France, the Netherlands, South Korea, Norway, Hungary, Great Britain, and the USA. As part of the Two Violins music project, she represented Ukraine at the Winter Festival Olympics in PyeongChang / Seoul 2018 and at the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires 2018.
